N1OES holds on the air 'Nets' twice per month. These 'Nets' are logged by the 'Net Control Operators' via an on-line web panel.
N1OES encourages all Nevada-Sierra County ARES members to volunteer to do net control as often as possible.
Please contact the E.C. (email link below) to volunteer. A 'Net Script' will be emailed to you. Each person volunteering will only have to commit to one week per month. The goal is to have four or more Net Control Operators so as to not overload any one controller with too many sessions at the control.
If you would like to 'Check In' as a guest, from Grass Valley, and the greater western Nevada County area, the net operates on a frequency of 147.285 MHz, plus offset, and a PL of 151.4. From Truckee this net can be heard on a frequency of 147.555, simplex. And from Truckee, as well as Reno, Tahoe, and the greater Donner area, this net can be heard on the 223.82 machine, with a minus offset, and a PL of 100.0. We cross connect theses frequencies during nets, training, emergencies, and any other event as needed.
Please join us every first and third Thursday at 19:30 hrs (west coast time) for net.
